LC2019 Atlanta Visit

The Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce invites you to nominate a candidate (or yourself) from your company or organization to participate in Leadership Chattooga 2022. The purpose of this program is to provide emerging community leaders with a greater awareness of community issues, needs, services and resources.  Equipping our future partners in business, government and community with the tools they need to be effective and successful leaders in their respective fields is the goal of the Chattooga Chamber of Commerce, and we appreciate your continued support to reach that goal each year.

The application process is simple, asking for basic information from both the candidate and the company or organization for which they work. You may apply by clicking the button below, or you may request an application by mail.

Orientation begins January 20th and sessions will be conducted the third Thursday of each month (Feb-Nov; no class in June and July). The course will begin with an orientation session conducted by Heather Casey of
LeadStrong 414 and Diane Vinyard of Living Life On Target. The orientation session is required.

There will be eight full-day sessions planned covering the following:

  • Leadership Development
  • Effective Communication
  • Understanding Values
  • Community Diversity
  • Collaboration
  • State Capitol Visit
  • Work Ethics
  • Scavenger Hunt: What do you know about your community?
  • Team-Building Exercises

SEE THE COMPLETE SCHEDULE

This opportunity is limited to twelve participants from Chattooga County. Minimum age is 18; no one is too old for the program. The sessions will all begin at the Civic Center. From there, we may then visit other points of interest around the county and region. The Chamber will provide transportation. Participants must be able to board and travel in the county van or make arrangements to be transported in a personal vehicle.

A one-day visit to Atlanta will be planned according to our state representative’s schedule and pertinent activities going on in the State Capitol and elsewhere in Atlanta.

Deadline to apply is December 31, 2021.

Tuition is $300 for Chamber members. Chamber sponsors receive discounts.
(See pricing breakdown on application.)

Participants must attend orientation and at least 7 out of 8 of the other sessions in order to graduate in December. No refunds are offered once the candidate has been approved, payment has been received, and program has begun.
