Recently released, the 2014 County Health Rankings has ranked Coos County as the least healthy NH county for the fourth year in a row. This year, the North Country Health Improvement Summit focuses on topics that will increase awareness, as well as promote changes that foster the idea of “growing a healthy community.” The day will kick off with words of encouragement from our NH State Representative, Ann Kuster, followed by our keynote speaker, Exercise Physiologist, Jason Aziz. Themes for the remainder of the day include increasing access to healthier foods, improving worksite wellness, lifestyle modification, diabetes education, and enhancing policies that foster health improvement. The Summit will also feature various exercise and stress management breakout sessions. The goal of this event is to bring together various health professionals that share an interest in improving the health of the North Country.
