Course Description:

Direct anterior composite restorations are a day-to-day treatment modality.  This course will take the clinician to the next level in the aesthetic use of these materials.  It will demonstrate how to create a composite veneer that rivals porcelain.  Participants will learn a simple three-shade technique to achieve a highly aesthetic restoration. 

Learning Objectives:

1. Review basic smile design principles.
2. Recognize when and how to add translucency to a restoration.
3. Review key differences of when and where to use nanofills and microfills.
4. Identify all of the steps necessary to achieve perfect line angles and perfect embrasures on every restoration.
5. List all of the steps which demonstrate how to simply create natural surface anatomy in your anterior restorations.
6. Apply and use proper polishing technique.

Speaker Information:

Dr. Paul Bylis received his undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College of Pharmacy.  He graduated from Georgetown University of Dentistry and then completed a general practice residency with the Veterans Administration in Washington, DC.  He has been in private practice in Anne Arundel County, MD since 1987.  The focus of his practice is on comprehensive care with a strong emphasis on cosmetics.

Dr. Bylis serves as clinical instructor in the Advanced General Dentistry Residency at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.  He frequently lectures for DentsplySirona on cosmetic and restorative techniques.  Dr. Bylis has also instructed at the prestigious Nash Institute for Dental Learning along with Dr. Ross Nash.  The courses there included hands-on training in Esthetic Dentistry and Full Mouth Rehabilitation.  Dr. Bylis speaks internationally for TAG dental on Guided Bone Regeneration techniques and TAG's guided implant system.

Dr. Bylis has been published in Dentistry Today and Inside Dentistry on topics including Anterior Composite Artistry, Implant Dentistry and DentsplySirona's new Digit Power Dispenser.

Chesapeake Health Education Program, Inc. designates this activity for 3.0 ADA continuing education credits.

Evaluation and Certificate:

All attendees are required to register their name and email address on the Webex platform and receive an Attention Rating of 90% or higher in order to receive credits. The Attention Rating is calculated automatically through the Webex system and reported to our team at the conclusion of the program. In order to receive the highest rate possible, stay logged into the training for the duration, do not minimize the training screen, and do not open other screens on top of the training.

An evaluation will be emailed to you within two business days of the program's completion. You will need the access code announced at the conclusion of the program in order to complete the evaluation. Once you complete and submit this evaluation, your certificate will automatically generate to be saved or printed.
