"Getting Through the Holidays"

Motherless daughters have something special in common: we all miss our moms – always, but especially at
momentous holidays and occasions, and December is no exception.  Our stories and experiences are all so different. For those whose mothers are still living, this can be a time of mourning for the mother that never was. Many miss their mothers who were present for them in life, but have passed on. Others live somewhere in the middle.

Depending on how long it’s been since mom was absent, we’ve all developed coping mechanisms to “make it through” the holidays.  While no one has all the answers, let's share some strategies for making the journey a little bit easier.
