Nurturing Creativity:  It’s the Process Not the Product

Join early childhood art educator and author, MaryAnn F. Kohl, for an evening of hands-on art activities and an exciting PowerPoint filled with children's original artworks. MaryAnn will talk about how art and crafts are different, what role they play in a child's early education and much more!

Note: Bring an apron.

Presenter: MaryAnn Kohl. MaryAnn is the award-winning author of more than 20 books about art for children. Her background includes teaching elementary school grades kindergarten through grade two, preschool, ECE college art classes, and adult classes on creativity, writing and publishing. She has been a consultant for The Jim Henson Company, Fisher-Price, Blue’s Clues and Nickelodeon and writes for numerous magazines, blogs, and journals. MaryAnn lives in Bellingham, Washington.

Workshop Policies:

• Payment must be made at time of registration in order to confirm your seat.
• Certificates of participation and receipts will be provided at the end of the workshop.
• You must stay for the full workshop to receive a certificate. Workshop doors close after 15 minutes of the start time in respect to the presenter and participants. Latecomers who arrive after 15 minutes will not be admitted and will not receive a certificate.
• There is a $15 fee to replace a missing certificate.
• We are unable to accommodate children during workshop time.

Cancellation Policy:

• Refunds for cancellations are only given when we receive more than 3 business days notice.
• All refunds are subject to a $10.00 Administration Fee.
•  Westcoast may cancel a workshop at any time. Registrants will be notified and 100% of fees refunded.
