Dr. Dwayne Estes, botany professor at Austin Peay State University will teach a 3-hour workshop on identification of grasses, sedges, and rushes of the Southern Appalachian/Mid-South region.

Join Dr. Estes as he leads us on a tour of the ecosystems of the area (forests, glades, wetlands, savannas, cliffs, etc.) and provides a thorough review of the important species found in each habitat. He will use a photo-rich PowerPoint presentation supplemented with drawing on a dry-erase board to teach the workshop. Participants should plan on bringing a sketchbook and drawing pencils. 

This seminar is a presentation of the Tennessee Valley Chapter of Wild Ones.  

Cost: $45 (general public); $35 (Wild Ones members)

Enrollment limited to 30 individuals

Registration Policy:  The number of attendees for this workshop is limited.  To give everyone the best opportunity to participate, there is a non-refundable cancellation fee of $10, with the balance refunded if you cancel at least 7 calendar days before the workshop will be held.  If the workshop is cancelled by the instructor or by Wild Ones, registrants will get a full refund.
