On March 18, 2023, the Tennessee Valley Chapter of Wild Ones will present its annual Native Plants Symposium. This year's Symposium will be offered live at the auditorium in the UTC University Center and afterward by recording. In the one-day Symposium, a group of nationally- and internationally-recognized speakers in the field of native plant gardening and responsible landscaping will present programs to educate and inspire home gardeners and landscape professionals. Between and following the speaker presentations, pre-recorded videos/presentations (1-3 minutes each) from sponsors, exhibitors and vendors will be shown to all Symposium attendees. Additional sponsor/exhibitor/vendor exposure to the Symposium audience will also be provided through the downloadable Symposium program, as well as graphics, advertising and social media preceding and during the Symposium.
On March 25th (the Saturday following the Symposium) at the First Horizon Pavilion, home of the Chattanooga Market, in downtown Chattanooga, native plant nurseries and other vendors are invited offer products for sale to the general public. The Native Plant Marketplace & Expo in a large, covered space, is expected to attract hundreds of Tennessee Valley gardeners, eager to establish and expand native plant gardens in our region. For the safety of all, masks will be required.
