Design Award Series: Sustainability
Please join us to hear two recent recipients of the AIA Cleveland Design Awards will be featured in this lecture series in 2021 to promote design excellence around the theme of Sustainability. These outstanding designs have widely different contextual settings and programmatic functions but they share a similar outcome of sustainable, healthy buildings for the users.
Learning Objectives:

Evaluate the two different existing conditions on the site and/or building so as to understand the constraints for improvements.

Explore how a patient-experience driven design process aligns with the Framework for Design Excellence and industry wellness concepts.

Evaluate how designing towards LEED Silver Engery Efficancy standards impacted massing, façade, and layout decisions.
|
A brief question and answer session so that attendess can inquire, with more detail, any specific aspects of the building design that they would like to discuss.
