Educational In-Service Presenter Training Sept 8, 2013 

Have you or your child experienced a teacher(s) that just didn't understand what Tourette Syndromereally is, thought your child was a "problem" child with behavior issues or thought you simply didn't know how to parent your child?

That has happened to most of our members at one point or another which is why TSA-IL is dedicated to educating and advocating about Tourette Syndrome. 

One of the most important services TSA-IL provides are trained advocates to present information about TS and co-morbid conditions to teachers and staff in schools.

If you are interested in becoming a In-Service presenter, register below for the upcoming training, Sunday, September 8th from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm in our Glen Ellyn office.  Learn all you need to know to become a  confident  TS Presenter in a fun and casual atmosphere.  Educating others about Tourette Syndrome is one of the best tools we have to help ourselves and others to understand more about the challenges of TS and that TS'ers are some of the best people we know!

We desparately need more presenters!  Nothing breaks our heart more than to tell a school who requests a TS presentation "No" simply because we don't have enough trained presenters. 

Becoming an educational trainer is as big or small of a commitment as you make it.  It is completely flexible.  When a school requests a training session, we send out an email to all trained presenters and if you are available, you can volunteer to conduct the training.  If you aren't available then you just need reply not available.  There are no minimum number of presentations you must do.
