Sign Up Now for the 2018-2019 Odyssey of the Mind Season!

The MPMAC Odyssey of the Mind program is open to students who reside in Morris Plains and/or attend Morris Plains Schools.

Odyssey of the Mind seeks to foster original and creative thinking and to make learning fun through creative problem solving competition.  Teams of up to seven (7) kids work together to solve long term and spontaneous problems.

The season begins in October/November (2018) and continues through March (2019) when the students compete at the NJ Skylands Regional Tournament, in Flemington, NJ and may extend later if a participant’s team advances to the NJ state tournament on April 6, 2019. 

Teams of 5 to 7 students meet weekly during the season, with additional workshops on Saturdays (2-3 hours) beginning in January as the students build their solutions.  We will have occasional (optional) "Spontaneous Fun" Problem Solving workshops.

We are currently registering students for the following Divisions:

Division I: Grades 3 through 5

Division II: Grades 6 through 8

This program is sponsored by the Morris Plains Municipal Alliance, with funding provided by the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders in conjunction with the Governor's council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse and the Borough of Morris Plains.
