CBRA 35th Annual Meeting & Educational Symposium, including IACUC YourWay: From AtoZ.

CBRA will be hosting its 35th Annual Educational Symposium on Tuesday, May 7th and Wednesday, May 8th.  This year's theme is "Compliance, Biosecurity, and Translational Research".

CBRA is pleased to present IACUC YourWay: From AtoZ, a full-day, groundbreaking, and interactive training program developed by the California Biomedical Research Association (CBRA) for both new and seasoned Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUCs) and those who support them. While the responsibilities of IACUCs may vary by institution, these committees are key to a successful animal program.  IACUC YourWay: From AtoZ™ is designed to cover IACUC issues pertinent to all animal research programs.  The program is divided into separate cutting-edge training modules, and topics addressed include key components of animal care and use programs; the structure, functions, and role of an IACUC; personnel qualifications and training; post approval monitoring; occupational health and safety programs; and emerging issues of compliance.  In addition, the training will conclude with interactive case study scenarios.

Join us in the evening for the CSBR Silent Auction and Dinner.  The dinner speaker, Dr. Carol Green from SRI will discuss translational research.  The dinner is the primary fund-raiser for CSBR's K-12 lifescience education programs and outreach.

In addition to the IACUC YourWay: From AtoZ™ program, on Wednesday, May 8th, the CBRA Educational Symposium will cover topical presenations, including speakers from the FBI; the USDA; and NABR, and topics will include advocacy, models of research; biosafety, biosecurity, and safeguarding science in the 21st century, as well as other current topics within the biomedical research community.

This program has been approved for CPIA and RACE CEUs!
