The ABC's of Able Accounts 

In this workshop, participants will learn about Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Accounts, which allow individuals with disabilities and their families to save for the future and build financial independence.

Newly offered in Louisiana, ABLE accounts offer flexibility, tax benefits, and most importantly do not interfere with an individual's eligibility for disability benefits, such as SSI. 

Attendees will learn the many ways ABLE accounts can be used, their advantages and disadvantages and how they can work together with a special needs trust.
