How to improve STEM awareness for girls with hands-on computer programming.

Please join us for an informational talk by Shirin Laor-Raz Salemnia about her success introducing computer programming to pre-teen girls. Shirin will talk about her WhizGirls Academy Computer Coding Series to be held at the Camarillo Public Library. Shirin will share details about her journey as a female entrepreneur in technology.

Shirin’s background includes working for MGA Entertainment, Mattel, Inc., and as a preschool teacher in Los Angeles. Shirin also hosted the first Girls App Challenge in collaboration with the White House Council of Women and Girls.
