in the World of Workers' Compensation
Presenter: Joseph Molloy, VP, Workforce Safety, Northwell Health
The Presentation focuses on implementing a culture of advocacy in the Workers' Compensation world. The importance of treating WC as a benefit rather than an obligation, ensuring that both the employer and the TPA/Carrier buy into advocating for injured employees rather than looking to limit benefits. The importance of communication to let the injured employee know that they have someone on their side. By engaging our injured employees via early intervention, we assure them that we are functioning as advocates and will do everything we can to return the employee to their pre-injury life; family, activities, hobbies and, of course, work.
