The Role of HR in Building Organizational Resilience
in the Aftermath of Workplace Violence

In this training, we will address pre and post-vention strategies for organizational resilience, following workplace violence.  Attendees will learn phases of workplace tragedy and key factors of organizational resilience. We emphasize the importance of collaboration of Human Resource professionals and other internal leaders. These factors are essential to business recovery and maintaining a healthy workforce.

We will discuss strategic risk management planning such as developing and implementing workplace violence programs/policies as well as the significance of establishing key partnerships and resources within your organization.  These steps are critical in ensuring that your workplace is prepared for any unforeseen event that may arise.

Presenters: Erin McKown, LMSW, CAMS-II has been with National EAP since 2016 and is currently one of National EAP’s EAP Specialists. Erin is a Certified Anger Management Specialist-II as well as certified in Crisis Management, an EAP Multi-systematic Resiliency Approach.

Julie Simon Prisco, MFT, CEAP, Director of EAP Services, National EAP, Inc. has worked extensively for over a decade intervening and resolving workplace issues that otherwise linger and create a toxic work environment. Julie works closely with employees, HR and leadership delivering services that move organizations towards success.  She is an accomplished therapist, workplace trainer and organizational coach, specializing in areas of conflict management, crisis management, and corporate wellness.
