Adolescent Health

OPS welcomes adolescent health providers, educators, and policy makers to learn and discuss best practices in adolescent health, screenings and referrals, trauma-informed interventions, and engaging families to help young adults thrive.

 CME Learning Objectives

CME available: 6.25 credits, plus 4.0 MOC-II for pediatricians. After completing this conference, attendees should be able to:

  1. Better understand some best practices and challenges facing primary care and school-based health center providers around adolescent healthcare.
  2. Increase their knowledge for making mental health and other resource referrals, and following up if services are not provided.
  3. Better understand how youth want their provider(s) to interact with them and how clinicians can best support them.

  • The AAP designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

  • This activity is acceptable for a maximum of 6.25 AAP credits. These credits can be applied toward the AAP CME/CPD Award available to Fellows and Candidate Members of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

  • The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME. Physician Assistants may receive a maximum of 6.25 hours of Category 1 credit for completing this program. 

  • This program is accredited for 6.25 NAPNAP CE contact hours of which 0 contain pharmacology (Rx), (0 related to psychopharmacology) (0 related to controlled substances), content per the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) Continuing Education Guidelines.

MOC Part 2 Points – STATEMENT 

  • Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity, with individual assessments of the participant and feedback to the participant, enables the participant to earn 4.0 MOC-II points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.
