Getting Serious About Your Writing
The Midwest Writers Workshop is offering a mini-conference, "Getting Serious About Your Writing," on Saturday, February 10, 2018, 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the Brownsburg Public Library, 450 South Jefferson Street, Brownsburg, Ind.
Three authors will be presenters at the mini-conference, which includes talks about getting published, participation in break-out groups and a panel question-and-answer session. Books by the authors will also be available for purchase and signing.
This morning intensive mini-conference is just $20, and *registration is required. Light refreshments will be served. The mini-conference is a service project of the non-profit organization Midwest Writers Workshop, Inc., now in its 45th year, in collaboration with the Brownsburg Public Library.
The speakers include: Nina Sadowsky, a novelist, screenwriter, and adjunct professor at University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts; Dianne Drake, international best-selling and award-winning author of more than 50 books; and Kelly O’Dell Stanley, graphic designer/entrepreneur, award-winning essayist, and nonfiction author. Moderator will be Cathy Shouse, journalist, author, and workshop coordinator of special events.
Each attendee will receive an email following the mini-conference with a $20-off discount link to an online course from MWW Ongoing.
Note: Registrants who check the box for "networking" will receive an email with email addresses of several other registrants. They may elect to communicate and possibly meet up with one another afterward for lunch or coffee. This is an optional activity that is on your own.
