 High School Retreat 2013

Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts

The Office of Youth Ministry and the Diocesan Youth Council invite you to our annual High School Retreat!

Come enjoy the beautiful mid-winter outdoors at our diocesan Camp and Conference Center, and meet youth and adults from all over the diocese! We will have small group workshops, large group games, worship that gets you both moving and thinking with the LIVE band Attaboy and above all else, time away from the stress of everyday life, so that we can pay a little more attention to the Spirit!

Adult chaperones will have a chance to have a retreat of their own.  They will have time to share ideas and grow in community with other chaperones and be able to take part in workshops specifically for working with high schoolers on the Autism Spectrum.

We don't want ANYTHING to stand in the way of anyone taking part in this weekend. 

  • If money is an issue, scholarships are available 
  • If you can't find an adult chaperone, we can help you figure out supervision
  • If you need helping getting there, we have a BUS bringing people to and from the Camp.  Stops will be made in Sagamore Beach and South Station in Boston.
Please contact Sam Gould (sgould@diomass.org) ASAP and we will figure out how to make it work. If you want to go, you CAN go!

 

High School includes Grades 9-12and members of ongoing youth groups in Grade 8.

NEXT STEPS

1. COMPLETE ONLINE REGISTER BELOW:

  • You can register up to 8 people at one time, but make sure you have all of the information at hand, because the system times out after 15 minutes
  • Have emergency contact information for each person (name and phone)
  • Find a CHAPERONE -- At least 1 adult for every 8 youth of the same gender 

2. DOWNLOAD, PRINT and FILL OUT the RETREAT DOCUMENTS which are due at Retreat Check-in at the Barbara C. Harris Camp (7-8pm on Friday, Feb. 3rd)!

3. Get ready for a great weekend!  A checklist for things to bring can be found HERE.
