Southern Region Wardens' Day- Plymouth 03.07.20
The partnership-in-ministry among ordained and lay leaders in any congregation can be a strong and positive force in the health and vitality of the congregation. Being a Warden in a local congregation is especially rewarding and challenging ministry. While some carefully consider a call or vocation to be the Warden of a congregation, many people are elected or appointed to the office without much preparation and little training. The purpose of these gatherings is to help Wardens to be effective partners in the leadership of their communities of faith--provide an arena to raise issues for reflection, offer and share resources, build rapport and relationships among wardens in neighboring parishes, and provide tools for Wardens to enter into a strong partnership with the ordained and lay leaders of their congregations.
