August FREE Hands-Only CPR

Training at Centerra 

Centerra, in partnership with The Heart Safe Community Initiative, is bringing FREE CPR training to the community. From May-September, Centerra will host two free CPR trainings per month: a lunchtime training on the first Tuesday of each month and an evening training on the first Wednesday of each month. These are non-certification, hands-only CPR trainings. 

The Heart Safe Community initiative is a collaborative effort between emergency responders, health care organizations and concerned citizens to improve health outcomes by raising awareness of sudden cardiac arrest, providing widespread CPR training to area residents, and facilitating placement of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) throughout the Loveland and Berthoud communities. AEDs work by shocking a heart back into a normal electrical rhythm. Statistics show that likelihood of survival increases dramatically when CPR and an AED are administered within minutes of sudden cardiac arrest.
