Women Entrepreneurs: How Did She Do That? (Leadership Principles in Small Business)

You don't have to go it alone!
Come meet a network of women who share your dream.

There is power in learning through the experiences of others, whether being introduced to new concepts by a speaker or simply networking to discover alternative ways of thinking about problems and solutions. This Women's Conference has a panel of experienced business women, resources for you and opportunities to network!

A panel of successful women business owners/leaders from different backgrounds will share their experiences on things you can control, things you can’t control, and getting through the grey area in between. This is a topic we've all struggled with, but never had the opportunity to talk about! Interact with the panel and your fellow entrepreneurs to come away with some powerful ideas.

Meet the panel:

  • Sandi Coyne: SCORE Mentor/Goodwin College/facilitator
  • Erin Emmons: Owner, Lucky Taco, SCORE client/ restaurant owner
  • Marsha Kulcsar: Owner, Oxi Fresh, SCORE client/ franchisee
  • Dr Shelley Best:  Pastor of Redeemer’s A.M.E. Zion Church of Plainville, developer of the224.org and more
  • Pam Reynolds: Partner, Anderson, Reynolds, Lynch LLP, New Britain Attorney
  • Capri Frank – CEO, Miller’s Food, third-generation in her family business

Before and after the program, there will be networking opportunities and resource tables from local non-profit groups that support the small business community as well as some for profit sponsors.

Registration is $40, and includes lunch as well as a book by Amy Cuddy: Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges (a $30 value!). Ms Cuddy is a social psychologist and lecturer known for her research on emotions, power, and nonverbal behavior. Every reader will learn how to approach their biggest challenges with confidence instead of dread.

You are not operating in a vacuum! Join us to learn, share your experiences, network with resources!
