Air Force Association
Air Force Association Gabriel Chapter #433
The AFA Gabriel Chapter encourages your participation in the "Wreaths Across America" at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) in Arlington, VA. On that day, wreath laying teams will place a wreath on each grave to show respect for our veterans buried there.
If you want to place wreaths, please attend with the public volunteer group that arrives in the morning. You can bring family members as well. Specifics will be announced later, but, normally, ANC gates will open at 7:00am, and wreath laying starts at 8:00am.
There will be an AFA team led by Mr. Pat Rocke, one of our members, who is AFA's Truck Crew Chief. He will be working with a crew of 10 volunteers to disperse wreaths to volunteers who will place them on grave stones with a mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach. The AFA truck location will be announced to chapter members the week before the event.
Wreath pickup day is in mid-January 2019 for the removal of the wreaths. A separate email will be sent for that event.
More information about this event can be found at link: www.wreathsacrossamerica.org
Please contact Mr. Rocke if you're interested, or have questions. He can be contacted at bizrocke@gmail.com.
