Lunch and Learn with Mayor Karl Dean and the Nashville Area Employment Consortium

Join The Arc Davidson County, Mayor Karl Dean, and the Nashville Area Employment Consortium for a Lunch and Learn session on employment opportunities for people with disabilities. At the meeting, you'll have the opportunity to view The Arc DC's employment video "Hire Me" and to hear from Mayor Dean on his vision for the future of employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities in the Greater Nashville area.

This session is open to vocational rehabilitation service providers and other invested community members. A free pizza lunch will be provided.

The Nashville Area Employment Consortium is a group of state and local agencies that assist individuals with disabilities in finding and maintaining successful employment. The Consortium works to promote and develop relationships with member agencies and the business community to achieve this mission. By partnering with the Consortium, businesses receive resources and education to assist them in recruiting, hiring and retaining individuals with disabilities in the workforce.

Consortium members include representatives from the TN DHS, Division of Rehabilitation Services; University of Tennessee, Center on Disability Employment, DRS Corporate Connections; Nashville Career Advancement Center; Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee; TN Division of Intellectual Disabilities Services; Veterans Administration, Park Center; Vanderbilt University Medical Center Transplant Return-to-Work Program; and other local organizations in the Middle Tennessee area.
