Pinehurst Course Information
The majestic pines that line Pinehurst's courses whisper the legends of golfers like Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Payne Stewart and all the legends who have walked these fairways. Since 1898, Pinehurst has hosted more championships than any other club in the country and they look forward to being the site of the 2024 U.S. Open Championship. BLUE HAWK will be playing No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4. Legendary No. 2 is available to play on your own.
Sporting Clays Information
Start off the activity with a brief safety orientation followed by instruction tailored for both the beginner and the seasoned shooter. Then, try your hand at the clays course that takes you through a beautiful woodland area with 13 different shooting fields. Each station has completely automated traps that will release targets at the push of a button. Your guests will shoot at targets simulating ducks, dove, teal, snipe, and rabbits.
Sporting Clays takes shooting one step farther than its cousin shooting sports, Skeet and Trap, by removing the predictability of the clay's path and offering the shooter variety that changes at each station. This makes the sport challenging enough to be stimulating, but it is not so difficult that it becomes discouraging. A shooter does not need to have a brillant score to get a terrific amount of satisfaction.
Pinehurst Historic Walking Tour
In 1996, the Village of Pinehurst, North Carolina became a National Historic Land- mark; the first golf resort and community to achieve this honor, recognizing its unique history as a village and prominence in the development of golf in the United States.
