Networks, Mentors and Sponsors:
What, Why and How?
 

WISE NL is pleased to again partner with the Canadian Centre for Women in Science, Engineering, Trades and Technology and Suncor Energy this time for the launch of the latest "Women in SETT Leadership Program" workshop.

"Networks, Mentors and Sponsors: What, Why and How?" describes the importance of networks, their context, how to develop and strengthen networking skills, elegant positioning for advancement, and how to leverage your network in support of your career goals. The workshop will also describe the different kinds of mentors, coaches and sponsors and how to mutually benefit from those relationships.

The "Women in SETT Leadership Program" is a series of professional development workshops tailored for early- to mid-career female engineers, scientists and technologists. Senior students with professional work experience will also benefit.

The cost for this workshop, valued at $300, is available to WISE NL members for $30 and $60 for non-members (transaction fee may apply). Lunch and nutrition breaks are provided. Attendance is limited to 25 women. Registration closes on February 21, 2015. Click here for membership information.
