Now that California’s Senate Bill (SB) 1383 is in effect, more municipalities and haulers are searching for organics waste diversion solutions that are cost-effective, reliable, and compliant. This new law requires municipalities to divert 75 percent of the state’s organic waste from landfills by 2025 with enforcement beginning January 1, 2022.
The good news – meeting SB 1383’s requirements is possible through High Diversion Organics Waste Processing Facilities (HDOWPF). HDOWPF facilities are compatible with any collection strategy while ensuring all organics waste is processed following state regulations.
