NOTE: This is a combined event with ILA, LLoIA & TRREIA members and guests.
Kick-off Meeting - 8:30-9:30 - Advocates, District and Issues Captains, veterans or wannabes ! We'll meet at 900 Des Moines St -- The Agribusiness Assn of IA building. Plenty of free parking on the street, or park at the Capitol and walk down. They prefer we enter through the NORTH DOOR by the parking lot. Take an immediate right, and another into the board room.
We'll recap talking points of the bills, do some networking and practice of "framing" our message, in different scenarios -- plus coffee and danish. Any who have already registered to see their legislators can participate in a drawing for a free lunch at the Capitol, today -- limit 20 winners.
Iowa Capitol Bluilding - Room 304 - 10:00 -- Joe Kelly has arranged for two rising stars in the Legislature to speak with us -- Rep. Chip Baltimore, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Mary Jo Wilhelm, Chair person of the committee that passed the City Enterprises bill last year.
We'll pack this room with advocates to remind them, we're thankful for their support and leadership!
Meet with Legislators 11:30 - 1:30 -- This the main event! If you can come for only one part, this is it -- and your chance to help our causes! Send an email first, to let them know you are coming. Ask for their support of HSB's 9, 13, and 28 while you're at it).

Legislative "Day on the Hill" for Rental Property Owner, Managers and RE Entrepreneurs
This is our time to educate our Legislators, or to confirm their support. We're taking nothing for granted this year. Though to us these bills seem like a "no-brainer", there are no guarantees they will ever get out of committee, so we need your support!
There is a reward for making your appointments early (drawing at 900 Des Moines St for up to 20 free lunches). There also a contest between LLoIA and ILA for who will have the highest increase in attendees at the 10:00 event! Help ILA | IaREIA win!!!
I have been so proud and grateful for your level of support -- we had two packed rooms at our last meetings -- so we really should have little trouble beating LLoIA. But just because many of our members are close to the Capitol, we cannot assume others will take care of this for us! We must be vigilant if we are to see these bills passed. This is your time. This is your business and we need you to come for this once a year event!
