There is more to life and death planning than just Wills, Trusts and Wealth Management.  The panel presenters will provide invaluable information needed to care for "The Person -- Care Management and how to assess, plan, navigate and guide" and "The Stuff -- How to Organize, declutter and move" before and after a loved one's passing.  The panel experts will discuss the basics of choices, legal documents and communication, and why a "Team of Trusted Advisors" is necessary.  The panel will share real-life experiences, and how to plan ahead before a client is in crisis.  

Megan Descutner, Golden Pond ElderCare Strategies, LLC -- Megan is a certified care manager whose 30 year nursing career has spanned rehabilitation, home health, long term care, mental health, and community and government relations. She has a masters degree in nursing and has worked with individuals and families from birth through end of life. She established Golden Pond in 2011, and serves as an advocate for clients with chronic progressive illnesses like Parkinson's disease, Cardiac disease, COPD,  Alzheimer’s and other dementias, and clients with acute illnesses. Megan is appointed to the Loudoun County Commission on Aging, and is a member of The Aging Life Care Association.  She is actively involved in community education to improve care for vulnerable, disabled, and elderly individuals providing knowledge and tools to make a difference. 

Maria Spetalnik, Conquer the Clutter LLC -- Maria has over 20 years of experience helping others get control of their homes and lives by helping them get the clutter out of their lives. She works with the client to help them figure out the physical, mental and emotional causes of the clutter and how to make the decisions on what to keep, sell or donate. Even though this task can be stressful or sad Maria tries to keep everyone as positive and upbeat as possible. Maria has attended the FBI and Fairfax County Citizens Police Academies. is a member of the Fairfax County Inter-Agency Hoarding Committee and is a VIPS (Volunteer in Police Service) teaching classes on clutter and hoarding at the Criminal Justice Academy as well as other venues.
