Orton Gillingham Training 

This Advanced OG training provides the knowledge that is essential for all students who have sucessfully gained decoding skills.  These more advanced skills enable students to successfully tackle materials in all subject areas and at all reading levels. 

This class will include:

• Morphology
• Sorting & Sorting Rules
• More Syllabication
• Syllable games
• Camel word building
• Consonant - le sheets
• Concept cards
• Morphology - practice and implement 
• Tachi ology; phobia and roots memory game
• Abbreviated lesson plan lesson

And more....

This 2 day class will require additional homework to qualify participants for the 20 hour requirement as part of the certification process for The Orton-Gillingham  Academy.

Ron Yoshimoto is a master trainer in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, having trained thousands of  regular, special education teachers and individuals in continental U.S.A., Canada, as well as Singapore. Ron’s engaging style, hands-on approach and ability to engage all learners has made him a favorite for the teachers he works with. He has had more than 25 years experience in training teachers/parents and working with dyslexics.
Ron is the former Vice-president of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators and was co-president of the Hawaii Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA).
He is currently the Statewide Special Education Literacy Resource Teacher Trainer for the state of Hawaii and is Director of the MSL Centre in Singapore.
