Information Systems Security Association
Lansing Chapter Meeting, joint with the Western Michigan ISACA Chapter
Please join us for our special, two hour September chapter meeting which is joint with WM-ISACA. It's a good opportunity to network with a variety of security professionals! Click here to register!
Two talks will be presented:
Topic: “Be an S.A.P. Security Ace at Your Company - The Basics of the SAP Authorization Concept”
Presenters: Brad Bammert and Dan Hudson
Mssrs Bammert and Hudson will give a presentation on the SAP ABAP authorization concept and tie that in with a how-to on conducting a security audit of SAP. Some of the items covered will be discussed in the context of SAP but they are concepts/best practices that extend to many applications and internal control environments (e.g. elevated access for emergency troubleshooting - with regard to SAP the presentors may talk specifically about a check-in/check-out procedure for FireFighter IDs, but the general process may be applied to just about any application).
Topic: "Protecting Your Internet Privacy: When Nation States Are Involved"
Presenter: Quentin McCallum
Quentin McCallum is an information security professional with over 10 years of experience. His experience and knowledge have allowed him to successfully translate business needs into projects, adding value and reducing risk for clients. He has demonstrated effective communication to all organizational levels, from executive to end-user, conveying the reality of security threats to an organization.
Mr. McCallum's background includes many years as a consultant, and he has managed security operations centers for numerous companies. He has also worked in a virology lab and has paramedic experience, which is now transformed into discovering computer viruses and responding to security emergencies.
We are very happy to be meeting with our colleagues from the Western Michigan chapter of ISACA (formerly known as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association)!
The meeting doors will be opened at 7:45 AM for sign-in and networking, followed at 8:00 with our speakers' presentations.
