An in-depth discussion of issues created in the workplace by difficult employees, this session will provide guidance on how to identify a difficult employee, and how to develop strategies for managing the risks they create. In addition, we will discuss some of the issues that make managing difficult employees difficult, including disciplinary procedures and poor performance, off duty conduct, sick leave abuse, bullying and hazing.
Presenter: Traci Park is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Burke, Williams & Sorensen. For the last ten years, Ms. Park’s practice has focused exclusively on the representation of private sector management and public entities in labor and employment law matters. Ms. Park has a wide-ranging litigation practice which includes representing clients in FEHA, Title VII, ADA, wrongful termination, wage and hour, due process and civil rights cases. She also has been involved in a number of high profile litigation matters involving police and fire departments.
