Women's Fund Fall Gathering

Serving Women Veterans: Community Supports 

 

There will be a showing of the documentary "Poster Girl"

followed by a special presentation of panelists highlighting the importance of local community supports.

4:30pm Doors Open;  Program starts at 4:45pm sharp.

 

Join us for a screening of "Poster Girl" , a documentary featuring a woman who returned from her tour of duty in Iraq at age twenty with severe physical and emotional scars.  

 

 

Jenny Pacanowski, Veterans' Sanctuary

Jenny will share about some of her own experiences and observations upon returning from overseas deployment.

Pam Johnson, Falk College, Syracuse University

Pam is a professor at S.U.'s School of Social Work and is a specialist on PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome) as it affects veterans.  Her research includes understanding cultural attitudes about veterans.
