Join co-authors Laurie Itkin and Kari Barnum as they celebrate the launch of their book, Empower: Women's Stories of Breakthrough, Discovery and Triumph.    

Empower contains inspirational stories of 25 women who overcame challenges in order to accomplish bold and brave feats.  DeLores, constantly rejected for modeling jobs because she wasn't "thin enough," started her own successful plus-size modeling agency. Kelly, who resented living the life her father pressured her to live, felt tremendous guilt after his suicide but then pursued her dreams.  Cindy, tormented by a 24/7 headache that cannot be cured, launched a business to help other women in chronic pain succeed in their careers. Kari left a comfortable life to move to West Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer and was forced out after a political coup.  Laurie, who vowed never to be financially dependent on a man like her mother was, began investing in the stock market at age 24 and coaches other women how to become financially independent through investing.
