Focusing One: Self in Presence

In the first year (5-weekend workshops) training program, you will learn and practice Focusing and how to bring Focusing deeply into your life and clinical practice. You will gain access to the rich inner wisdom that unfolds as you find Presence in your own life, and then how to facilitate a Focusing-Oriented approach to healing with others.  Those wanting to complete the full year program will need to commit to the next four workshops of the five workshop series.

Focusing-Oriented Therapy (FOT) and Healing Year One Workshop dates: 2016-2017
FOT 1: October 29th and 30th, or November 12th and 13th
FOT 2: January 14th and 15th
FOT 3: March 18th and 19th
FOT 4: May 6th and 7th
FOT 5: July 8th and 9th

Pricing Structure:
Workshop One (FOT-1): $295.00 for early or $345 for standard registration.
Workshops Two through Five (FOT-2-5): $345.00 for early or $395.00 for standard registration when paying for individual workshops.
Package deal: $1180.00 ($295.00 ea.) for Workshops Two through Five when paying for all four together. (That’s $200.00 off the early price for individual workshops!)

Second Year: Advanced Focusing-Oriented Therapy and Complex Trauma
The second year (5-weekends) of the program teaches you how to effectively and safely work with embodied, vicarious, and multi-generational trauma while continuing to deepen your Focusing-Oriented therapy and healing skills. Trauma will be explored through the
understanding of neuroscience, philosophy, psychology, mythology, and native spirituality.
Third Year: Certification
For those who want to further their study and experience, I offer certification in cooperation with the Focusing Institute.  Details at www.morrisontherapy.com

Register for the FOT-1 Workshop in October to get started!

Focusing taps into the essence of changeFocusing evolved from research that has influenced much of the somatically-oriented, mindfulness-based work being done today. It has its roots in existential and phenomenological philosophy as well as client-centered and relational therapies. It is an experiential body-centered process that restores emotional regulation, promotes present awareness and fosters empathetic relatedness. Focusing is easily combinable with other clinical orientations and healing modalities and is itself a doorway into a grounded sense of spirituality and wellness.

Year Two: Working With Complex Trauma

Advanced Training in Focusing-Oriented Therapy and Complex Trauma (FOTCT)
Interested in further study options after year one? This is the second year of my FOTCT program designed for therapists and other healing professionals. It comprises five workshops, building on the solid foundation of skills learned in the first year, and adding depth to your understanding of Focusing as a process of change. A solid foundation of Focusing experience is required to participate.
