  SPRING 2019 WORKING GROUP MEETING

Join us for the eighth meeting of the Rights-of-Way as Habitat Working Group on February 20 - 21, 2019! We will be focusing on the big year ahead for monarchs and pollinators and the practical information you need to know to make your pollinator habitat programs successful.

The working group meeting provides a forum for public and private or anizations and individuals to collaborate and share ideas, lessons learned, and other information to promote successful habitat conservation along rights-of-way and other managed lands. We welcome participation from across the utility, transportation, non-profit, academic, and government sectors.

This year we are excited to be co-located with the 2019 National Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic in Schaumburg, IL. Pheasant Fest will run the three days following the working group meeting on February 22 - 24, 2019 with plenty of opportunities to share ideas and expertise with a broader network of conservation peers. See more information below.

There will be networking, learning, and opportunities to "roll up our sleeves" in a variety of working sessions. Check out the detailed agenda below.

Join us for the Resources Potluck on Wednesday over lunch to exchange helpful tools, lessons learned, success stories, or other resources with your peers. Come armed with something to share and hungry to learn what others have to offer! Sign up during registration or tell us more about your resource here.

Additional networking opportunities include Wednesday dinner at Moretti’s (registration required) and happy hour at the end of the day on Thursday (open to everyone).

Registration costs are as follows:

  • Full Registration Rate – Private Industry ($200)
  • Discounted Registration Rate – Government / Non-Profit ($125)
  • Webinar Participation ($40)  Webinar participation will not include breakout sessions
  • Networking Dinner at Moretti's on Wednesday at 6pm ($40)

To reserve your spot, please register before February 12.

Friday, February 22 - Sunday, February 24, 2019 (Pheasant Fest)
Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever are gearing up to celebrate the National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic, including a dedicated Pollinator Pavilion. Seminars, displays, and informative interaction throughout the weekend will emphasize highly diverse pollinator habitat and its vital, dual role in producing pheasants and quail along with bees, butterflies and a host of other pollinator species. Free General Admission is included with your registration to the Rights-of-Way as Habitat Working Group meeting! Find out more information HERE.
