Seminar Outline:
Assessment skills, which include understanding the Patient’s symptoms and life changes, are highly relevant to social work practice. Clinicians will learn how to make an accurate Diagnosis based on the Patient’s symptoms and observations. This seminar will focus on the DSM-IV, diagnostic categories, and Patient’s understanding of their own diagnosis. DVD material will be presented on depressive disorders and anxiety disorders to highlight identifiable symptoms and interviewing skills.

Attendants must attend the entire seminar and complete the evaluation form to receive Certificate of Attendance. The Certificate will be given at the end of the seminar. This seminar is for 2 Clinical CEU hours.
