WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

• To learn more about public land management, public recreation, and OHV recreation stakeholder issues;
   
• To build a better understanding of laws and regulations governing the use of OHVs;
   
• To improve education information and the distribution of educational materials to the OHV public;
   
• To improve the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and management of sustainable OHV facilities, areas, trails and trail systems in order to:
  • • Minimize impacts to natural and cultural resources;
    • Reduce conflict between recreation and other public land stakeholders; and
    • Better meet the needs and desires of the OHV recreation public;
• To improve working relationships between local and provincial land management agencies and the OHV community using best practices from other provincial and state agencies.
