Public Meeting on the Seafood Import Monitoring Program Implementation
July 18, 2017 - Seattle, Washington
The National Marine Fisheries Service ("NOAA Fisheries") invites importers, exporters, brokers and all those interested in learning more about the implementation of the U.S. Seafood Import Monitoring Program (SIMP) to attend a public meeting on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, 10:00AM - 12:00PM PDT. The meeting will be held at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Seattle Airport – Southcenter, 16500 Southcenter Parkway, Seattle, WA 98188.
This meeting will include an overview of SIMP, its implementation, and will afford ample time for questions. SIMP which effective January 1, 2018 will require importers to report and retain traceability data for seafood from 13 species/species groups.
