Mental Health Professionals are constantly giving to those they serve by helping their clients respond to complex problems and life's challenges. Being a daily witness to clients' suffering and trauma has profound effects on the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual bodies of the helper.
This 3 hour workshop will combine mindfulness, yoga, and breath work practices as a way for mental health clinicians to connect more deeply with their bodies, better understand the impact that work has on their lives, and experience "take home" tools that enhance self-care both on and off the mat. This is a space for participants own self-care and wellness to be the focus. In addition, this workshop is an opportunity to connect with like-minded mental health professionals who value self-care and body-mind approaches to the mental health work.
Laurel Earls, LMFT, RYT 200 and Ashley Sitkin, LCSW, RYT 200, trained therapists and yoga teachers, will co-facilitate the workshop. Mental health professionals from varying disciplines are welcome. No yoga experience is necessary as this will be for mixed-levels, including beginners.
