Objectives: To become familiar with the biopsychosocial model for understanding both the causes and the treatments of eating disorders. To demonstrate skills to screen for eating disorders and appropriately discuss these disorders with patients and families. To understand the need for early recognition of these disorders, and the need to restore physiologic stability early in the course of treatment.

Presenter Katlyn Heath: Katlyn is an Independently Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (I-MFT), and the Owner of Restorative Wellness. Located in O’Bryonville Cincinnati – Restorative offers comprehensive outpatient care for teens and adults with eating disorders, trauma disorders, as well as mood and anxiety disorders.

 

Continuing Education                                                                                                                                             Ohio Licensed Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists: The Child Focus, Inc. Training Center is approved through the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. This program is offered for 6.0 clock hours of continuing education for counselors, social workers, and marriage and family therapists. Marriage and Family Therapist Provider# RTX091001.                                                  Psychologists: The Child Focus, Inc. Training Center is approved by the Ohio Psychological Association MCE program to offer continuing education for Ohio psychologists. This program is offered for 6.0 clock hours of continuing education for psychologists. Child Focus, Inc., 00PD-3109-52668, maintains responsibility for the program.

Cancellation Policy: The Training Center must be notified 7 days prior to a training via telephone, fax or email in order to cancel a registration and receive a full refund.

We will send information regarding updates and cancellations to the email address used to register for the training. We will also have this information updated on the CF website under Services Tab, then Education and Training.  

Please note:  Because we are not able to control the room temperature to fit everyone’s needs, we encourage you to dress in layers to better accommodate your personal comfort level.
