And this year, for the first time, we will present live entertainment during key segments of the show. These unique additions will be presented at the beginning of the event, during the Fashion Show and just before lunch begins. This will truly be the Braniff Conference that everyone will remember for a lifetime.

This year very special film clips will be presented throughout the day. These clips are from local news archives and will ensure an entertaining and informative part of the show.

BRANIFF INTERNATIONAL ART FASHION DESIGN

Our theme this year is "Braniff International Art Fashion Design" featuring the Designers and Architects of Braniff. The underlying theme will include a Salute to Braniff Concorde service and Braniff's South America, which includes live entertainment and luncheon cuisine from that region along with a colorful presentation. 

CONCORDE 40 YEARS OF BRANIFF SUPERSONIC TRAVEL

Mr. Lawrence Azerrad

International author and noted Los Angeles designer, Mr. Lawrence Azerrad will discuss his new book, Supersonic, which is a tribute to 50th Anniversary of Concorde and the 40th Anniversary of Braniff Concorde service. Mr. Azerrad will also conduct a book signing event. A special Concorde reveal: for the first time, since 1979, a magnificent Braniff model discovery! 

THE DESIGNERS OF BRANIFF

Ms. Laura Addison

This year's conference will emphasize the design of Braniff's End of the Plain Plane Campaign through the Halston Ultra Campaign. Our next guest speaker is Ms. Laura Addison, Curator of European & American Folk Art Collections at the Museum of New Mexico Alexander Girard International Folk Art Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico, will begin her presentation with the arrival of Mr. Girard at Braniff International in the summer of 1965. Ms. Addison will also discuss her organization's role in curating the colorful legacy of Mr. Girard and his groundbreaking Braniff era.

ALEXANDER GIRARD DOCUMENTARY DEBUT

During the morning History Section, we will have the honor of debuting a new short-film about the life and legend of Alexander Girard. Braniff Airways Foundation provided the materials and photos for this colorful film. 

AN EXCITING CALDER REVEAL 

Mr. Henry Harteveldt

Master Artist Alexander Calder changed the world of art with his designs that were painted on two Braniff jetliners. Mr. Calder's time with Braniff will be presented with a very special reveal that will create a reunion for the first time ever on any stage, which will honor Mr. Calder's work for Braniff International. Internationally noted airline industry consultant and CNN personality Henry Harteveldt, President and Founder of Atmosphere Research Group of San Francisco, California, will present what will be a remarkable part of the show.

A RUNWAY OF FASHION

This year's Fashion Show Segment, will be like nothing you have ever seen before - this will truly be unforgettable!!!!!! Singer and Entertainer Brad Ackland will MC this unique part of the day. 

Opening this segment will be Ms. Annette Becker, the Chief Curator of the Texas Fashion Collection of The University of North Texas at Denton. Ms. Becker will bring a very special and exciting Braniff reveal along with her discussion of her very unique and immensely thorough collection of fashion garments. Ms. Becker is bringing with her a very special Braniff part of the Texas Fashion Collection to reveal during A Runway of Fashion! 

CELEBRATING BRANIFF'S SOUTH AMERICA

Immediately following A Runway of Fashion, a very special live tribute will include the celebration of Braniff's five decades of service between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. And just before lunch, a special honor of all of the countries served by Braniff will be presented by a very special group of young people.

BRANIFF'S ARCHITECTURE IN SOUTH AMERICA

The afternoon Architecture Section will truly be an experience with the presentation of Braniff's Airport and Building Architecture in South America. This exciting part of the show will be presented by Mr. Bob Meckfessel FAIA, LEED AP BD+C, internationally acclaimed architect and Vice President of DOCOMOMO US.

THE NEW TERMINAL F AT DFW AIRPORT

Mr. Khaled Naja

Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport Board recently announced that a new Terminal F would be built at the iconic airport. Mr. Khaled Naja, Executive Vice President of Infrastructure and Development for DFW Airport will discuss this amazing project, the airport's first new terminal since 2005. Terminal F will be built in the same are where Braniff International propsoed its third Terminal 4W.

THE RESTORATION OF BRANIFF 7701 

Mr. Michael Graves

Architect Michael Graves, President of Gravity Company, will present his firm's restoration of the famed Braniff International Operations and Maintenance Base at Dallas Love Field. Mr. Graves leads the restoration of one of Braniff's most iconic building and he will discuss the new uses for this amazing mid century icon.

THE DESIGN OF BRANIFF TOWER AT EXCHANGE PARK

Mr. David Preziosi

Braniff's Exchange Park Headquarters building, Braniff Tower, will be discussed by Mr. David Preziosi. Earlier in 2019, he authored a highly informative article about Braniff's former home, which is now part of the UTSouthwestern System. He will share his research about this amazing building and groundbreaking office complex during his presentation.

Additional speakers will also be presenting and an array of exciting events will take place during this year's conference. Additional details will be released throughout the summer months.
