THE PRESBYTERY OF MILWAUKEE
May 22, 2018 Presbytery Gathering
Dear Presbyterians,
I am excited to invite you to join us on May 22, 2018 for our next gathering of the Presbytery to be hosted by our wonderful sisters and brothers at Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Mequon. This time in place of a keynote presentation, you will have the opportunity to select one of six sessions to take a deep dive into a topic which is calling to you. Each session ties in with our 2018 theme of Caretaking in a different way, care for self, congregation, or community. The sessions are listed below, but please click here for a complete description of each presentation.
I am also excited to invite you to worship, which will be led by Heritage Presbyterian Church. Hopefully you were able to witness and participate in the Water Service presented by Heritage over the past couple years. They have now put together a new worship service focusing on shelter. You will want to make sure you join us as the Heritage family shares their gifts of music and drama while shining a light on the issue of shelter and how it impacts our community. The service and the offering collected go to support Ezekiel Community Development Corporation which is working to tackle not only issues around shelter, but also incarceration.
If that isn't enough, there will also be a pre-gathering presentation Yours are the hands of Christ where you can learn about opportunities to serve, tailored to your availability and skills. This presentation will be given by Jim Kirk, Associate for Disaster Response (US) for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
We'll also manage, as we always do, to set aside some time to take care of the business of the Presbytery as well as to break bread, reconnect, and reconcile with each other.

7 pm - Worship by Heritage Presbyterian Church
