Join Us for Our Next TechTopics on November 7th

Join us on Wednesday, November 7th to explore the theme of "From Research to Commercialization". During this event, we will explore companies which formed, as a result of wanting to commercialize technology discovered at Florida State University. We will learn how they got started, their technology and future outlook.

We will have speakers from KynderMed and Autism Navigator presenting.

Dr. Amy Wetherby is the founding member of Autism Navigator, a collection of web-based tools and courses developed to bridge the gap between science and community practice to help increase the capacity of healthcare and early intervention providers, educators, and families to improve outcomes of young children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Dr. Wetherby is also a Distinguished Research Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences, Director of the Autism Institute in the Florida State University College of Medicine, and the Laurel Schendel Professor of Communication Disorders in the Florida State University College of Communication and Information.

Dr. James Olcese is the founder of Kyndermed’s technology, a non-invasive sleep mask that inhibits preterm labor. The sleep mask is a blue light emitting device that suppresses melatonin secretion, which causes preterm contractions.

He is also global authority in circadian rhythms and the neuroendocrine system.  He is a Professor of Biomedical Sciences, Neuroscience and Molecular Biophysics at Florida State University College of Medicine.  He has over 100 peer reviewed research articles.

Dr. Melanie Simmons, President and Chief Development Officer of Kyndermed will continue Kyndermed's story regarding the commercialization of the Technology.

We look forward to seeing you at this exciting event!
