37th Annual Native American Elders Gathering

Join us on the zoom platform or in person at the beautiful Peace Village in Lincoln, Vermont, as we listen to our Elders share the wisdom from their families, clans, and nations on this year’s theme:

Our Thoughts and Actions are Harvested Tomorrow

It is Our Choice to Plant Seeds of Good Cause

How shall we express harmonic resolution to appearances of dissonance for building co-operative society?

See change and recognize the power of our heart minds to actualize growth that is wisdom and life force enhancing.

The Teachings shared at the Elders Gathering are available for all. They are offered with love and compassion.

The Fires at the Sunray Peace Village are lit at sunrise (7 AM) on Friday July 30th and close on Sunday August 1st at 4:00pm (Eastern time).

See the full schedule and list of presenters as they are updated on our website. A link for participation will be sent to you after registration.

This is a non-profit event with all proceeds going to support the event and the Elders and Lamas offering presentations.

We welcome both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people as well other community organizations.

This year, Elders Gathering is offered by donation.  In order to make the teachings available for all, please give what you can.

All registrants will receive access to the full weekend, Friday, July 30th to Sunday, August 1st. All who make a donation in any amount will also receive video recordings.

Information for in-Person Attendance

The Peace Village will be open to camping on a very limited basis this summer to a limited number of individuals who will be on the land to prepare for Elders Gathering. We also will not have food service at Elders Gathering, other than on a limited basis to provide meals for a few Elders and ministers who will be in Vermont, firekeepers, volunteers who will be coming to caretake the land, and our Teacher.

Day-passes will be available for individuals to attend Elders Gathering activities, but you will have to secure your own food and accommodations.
To reserve your day passes, please register in advance and indicate the days that you will be attending in-person.

While the state of Vermont is open to travel, precautionary measures are still being encouraged with regard to gatherings and wearing of masks. See our Covid guidelines for those who will be attending in-person.

Covid Protocol (for in-person at the Peace Village):
We respect the right of individuals to make their own decisions about their health, including whether or not to be vaccinated. And we as a community have a spiritual responsibility to be attentive to caring for the well-being of all and ourselves, as best we can. Thus, for everyone who will be in-person at the Peace Village, we will require the following practices to be observed and adhered to for the safety of all, whether vaccinated or not. These practices are congruent with OSHA and CDC recommendations of "protecting unvaccinated individuals or those with autoimmune concerns who are at risk for exposure from prolonged close contact with others.

Practices:
  • ·Masks will be required at all times while in the Peace Village when in spaces where other people are present (except at campsites, if camping).
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in bathhouses, and in the community hall and the Temple when entering those spaces.
  • Practice physical distancing awareness when indoors.
