About the Greene Scholars Program

The mission of the Dr. Frank S. Greene Scholars Program (GSP) is to help youth of African ancestry
in Santa Clara County successfully complete higher education in science, technology, engineering and/or
math (STEM), and serve as positive role models and contributors to their communities. The initiatives of
the Greene Scholars Program are: to provide hands-on math, science and technology experiences which
strengthen the student's leadership and problem solving skills, build the student's self-esteem, stimulate
the student's intellectual curiosity and provide self-motivation to continue their exploration in STEM
