2017 CAWEE FALL CONFERENCE

CAWEE invites all who are involved in work-based learning programs to register for our Fall Conference, October 3-5, 2-17 at the Embassy Suites Sacramento Riverfront Hotel. We will have our usual pre-conference workshops on Oct. 3, and our regular conference workshops on Oct. 4-5, including sessions on newly emerging work-based learning concepts and programs. More information will be available on our webpage at cawee.org in the coming months.

REGULAR CONFERENCE FEES
Through Monday September 25, 2017, the conference registration fee of $375, which includes a complimentary CAWEE membership, is payable by check or credit card. 

There is no increase in fees for late registration of Pre-Conference workshops.

PRE-CONFERENCE PROGRAM AND FEES
The October 3, 2017 Pre-Conference Workshop fees are: Coordinators Workshop - $55; Work Permit Certification Training - $175, including lunch; Work Permit Certification Training Renewal - $100, including lunch. 

The popular Coordinators Workshop will be held on Tues. Oct. 3 at 8:30 am. This workshop is offered to all new and experienced WEE coordinators who wish to learn more about managing their programs. WorkAbility staff and others who work with sourcing jobs for students can gain valuable information from this workshop as well.

Our intensive and informative 6-hour Work Permit Certification Training Workshop will be held on Tues. Oct. 3 at 10:45 am. The Certification exam will be administered on Thursday afternoon, October 5, from 2-4 pm. This workshop is appropriate for all individuals who process and approve work permits, as well as for those who oversee the administration and management of work based learning programs. Please make travel arrangements accordingly. 

NEW PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS THIS YEAR include a morning Work Permit Software Demonstration by QuickPermit and Aeries - no charge, and an afternoon Interactive workshop with CDE/District Plans workshop led by CDE Liaison Erle Hall - $45.
  

ATTENDEES AND STAFF Please Note:
If District Business Office or Administrative Staff is Registering You:
When district staff completes registration and payment for an attendee, we often experience a disconnect between the payment we receive and for whom the payment was made. To enable us to make that connection more accurately, we need the district staff member who is completing registration forms or arranging payment to identify themselves by completing ITEM "A" on the Registration form. 

PAYMENTS received after September 25, 2017 will incur a $75 late registration fee, so we suggest you use a personal or district credit card to avoid being charged this additional amount. CAWEE will invoice registrants for any late fees incurred.

Hotel Reservations

There are three ways you can make your reservation at the Embassy Suites Sacramento Riverfront. It would be a good idea to reserve your room now before our room block is filled. 

1. Go to www.sacramento.embassysuites.com and make a reservation using the group/convention code: CAW.
2.  Call (916) 326-5000 and ask for the CAWEE Fall Conference 2017 discount rate.
3. Click Here to register via our personal Embassy Suites web page.      

All reservations must be in by: September 11, 2017.
After that date, the room rates will increase, if any rooms are available. 

Hotel registration includes a cooked-to-order breakfast, nightly beverage reception and complimentary wifi.  Lunch on Wednesday and Thursday is included in your conference registration. Guest lunches may be purchased on the registration form that follows.

If you wish to come in a day early or stay a day late at the conference rate, call the hotel. They have reserved a few spaces for our room block at the conference rate. 

Transportation Options

CAWEE has chosen this property due to close proximity to and from the Sacramento International Airport, easy access to all major freeways, and close to Amtrak terminal (highly encouraged). 

Cancellation and Refund Policy

A full refund of fees, less a $25 processing fee, will be made if a written cancellation is received on or before September 25, 2017 via postal mail or email to bookkeeper@cawee.org.
