Join us for three days of learning a kind, efficient, safe and science based approach to training and managing llamas and alpacas. Whether you have 2 llamas or 200 alpacas CAMELIDynamics will save you time and make living with your animals easier and more fun.  

ALPATI is locted in a country farm surrounded by beautiful nature and a private forest where we can go hiking with our alpacas.  There is a barn for hands on practice and a bright and heated classroom next to the barn.

The animals are our friends and we appreciate the time and the training with them. We have 11 alpacas who we plan to use for alpacawalks and as four-legged helping teachers in mindfulness.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  It is possible to bring your own animals. Notify us so we have the correct number of pens ready. If you need help finding accommodation for yourself, please contact us. If you need help signing up, we'll be happy to help you!

Cancellation Policy:  For cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the clinic, a refund (less a $50 dollar processing fee) will be given. Because of the financial commitment necessary as the clinic date approaches we cannot offer refunds within 30 days of the event.  If for some reason, you cannot attend, a rain check (equivalent value) will be issued for attendance at another CAMELIDynamics event. Rain checks can be applied to another training within two years of the cancellation date. 

CAMELIDynamics reserves the right to cancel any event, if necessary, because of circumstances beyond our control or in the rare circumstance when enrollment is deemed insufficient. In this case, ALL deposits, tuition and processing fees will be fully refunded. Participants are encouraged to consider flight and hotel insurance.

There is no substitute for seeing CAMELIDynamics in action…

Marty has traveled over a million miles around the world teaching her brand of animal understanding.  It isn’t enough to have a mastery of the material, a teacher must be able to excite and inspire. Marty is exceptional at both working with animals and teaching people. She uses training aids she developed herself along with a variety of role playing exercises designed to help owners really understand their wooly buddies.

There is nothing like feeling what it is like to wear a halter or to be led, to give you a whole different point of view. Have fun, be inspired and leave with a higher level of skill and understanding. This two day event is designed for all skill levels. If you have been to a clinic in the past consider coming back for a refresher and to see for yourself how the method is constantly evolving.

Day 1 Introduction to Camelidynamics and the Science of Behavior:

The Keystone of Marty’s educational program is the Introduction to CAMELIDynamics.  Learn why CAMELIDynamics is the most popular training system for camelids and is still going strong after 30 years!

Day 2: The CAMELIDynamics Approach to Herd Management: Have more fun AND get more done! 

Learn how to effectively and calmly complete the herd management requirements of all camelid owners.

  • The magic of the midline catch and the bracelet!

  • Learn to use a neck wrap

  • Picking up feet, trimming toenails

  • Organizing a shearing day and Shearing Tips and Tricks

  • Learn to use handshears

  • Giving injections without restraint

  • Helping your vet

  • Organizing your facility

  • Raising and training respectful and confident babies

  • Using the catch pen and how to build a CAMELIDynamics Handling Facility

  • Working without restraint, creating and using the CAMELIDynamics Handing Facility

 

Day 3: Event Marker (Clicker) Training: What it is, why it works and how to do it!  Plus Leading with Awareness. Available as a one day option ONLY If you have already been to a CAMELIDynamics Clinic with Marty 

  • Why positive reinforcement works! 

  • What is punishment and why it isn't the way to train and the side effects

  • What is negative reinforcement when and when not to use it

  • Learn the mechanical skills you need to teach behavior with a clicker or mark

  • Learn how to create a training plan and how to change it effectively when you need to

  • Teach an animal to "target" and why it is so useful for so many things! 

  • How to set up for event marker training-working with individuals or train in a group

  • Experience event marker training with role playing exercises

  • Experience event marker training yourself by working hands-on with animals 

  • Event marker training empowers your animal and changes the relationahip you have with your animals in amazing ways!

  • Leading with awareness and obstacles as opportunities! 

The last day will begin at 9:00 and wrap up at 3:30.
