Third Coast Shark TexFest 2013 

Please join us for our 13th Annual Porsche 928 Alumni Gathering in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. This is a supercharged weekend full of car talk, great wine & food, 928 camaraderie and good ole Texas hospitality.

Last Year's Third Coast
Each year it just gets bigger and better. Last year we had over 70 people attend each days events and over 40 cars in our car show on Sunday, with over $2500 in door prizes provided by 928sRus, Boardwalk Porsche, the 928 Owner's Club. Also last year, our friends at ITW Global Brands made sure everyone went home with a goody bag of Fuel Injector Cleaner, Rain-X and Tire Wet, and stickers.

This Year's Third Coast
928sRus proudly sponsors this year's Third Coast Event. We have a great fun-filled weekend for you starting with a Meet & Greet dinner on Friday, a Hill Country Wine Tour on Saturday, a Formal Dinner Saturday Night, ending with a Car Show on Sunday.  Registration Button is below.

Each evening following dinner is follow by parking lot sessions of hood lifting, engine revving, gear head chatter, and wine glass clinking.  Bring your favorite wine or beer from your hometown to share with the gang and we'll see how they compare.

Bringing your car is purely optional, but 928 Drivers who bring their car will receive a free event TShirt as a thank you from 928sRus for bringing your car to the event. As always, 928sRus will provide plenty of prizes with the Grand Prize to be announced before the event.  

Awards will be given for various categories like People's Choice, Cleanest Engine, Best Interior, Best Mods, Best Paint, Farthest Driven, Farthest Traveled, and whatever else we can think of.   

Friday Night Meet & Greet
After you check-in to your hotel room on Friday afternoon, walk next door and join us on the patio at Chili's for a post-travel cocktail and snacks.  

Join us again at 6pm for Cocktail Hour at the River City Grille (next door to the hotel) bar area followed by dinner at 7p.   Friday night is pretty casual with  Wear your Favorite Porche 928 TShirt night.  All you newbies - if you see someone in a Porsche 928 TShirt - walk up and introduce yourself. We're al family 'round here.

Dinner at 7pm is at the River City Grille which is also next door to the hotel.  Wear Your Favorite 928 TShirt to this event. It is quite casual so settle in and join in some 928 car talk.

Saturday Hill Country Tour
Free hot breakfast provided by the hotel.  Driver's meeting will be at 9am in the conference on Lobby floor.  ***BRING YOUR 2-WAY RADIOS for the drive.  Get your map, your badge and your tshirt if you ordered one.

You will be awed by the beautiful hill country views and outstanding roads as the take off on a morning tour to the Hill Country Olive Company, lunch at Salt Lick BBQ and our final stop at Becker Vineyards. 

Back by popular demand is a stop at the Hill Country Olive Company. The owner will tell us about his olive farm and there is a free olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting. I suggest you also do the wine tasting is $4 (to be paid in advance), so you can choose a wine to take with you to our lunch destination. Don't forget to purchase a olive oil and balsamic vinegar as a lovely gift for your loved ones at home!  Get your wine here to take to lunch because Salt Lick BBQ is BYOB.  Salt Lick BBQ is rumored to be the best in the hill country and you can order off the menu, OR if you are really hungry - order all you can eat family style for $19.95 - and don't forget Salt LIck is BYOB - Bring your wine from TX Olive Co!

After lunch we are headed to Becker Vineyards for a wine tasting. Feel free to hang out for a while, but don't forget dinner at 7!

Saturday Night 'Formal' Dinner
Saturday Night we usually dress up a little more and get a little louder.  The theme this year is called 'Denim and Diamonds' so girls can wear their bling to this evenings affair and guys can wear their jeans and boots. I  bet you might even see a few cowboy hats at this dinner. 

If you have your belt buckle given out at the 10th Annual Third Coast Affair - this night would be the night to show it off again.

Sunday Car Show & Shine
Wake up bright and early to get your car shined up for the Car Show.  The Hampton Inn provides a waterhose for us to wash up our cars, but you have to bring your own wash supplies. Please your car information sheet on the dash of your car for the car show. Email us if you need help with this.

If you are not interested in the free breakfast at the hotel on Sunday, please join us at the Grand Central Cafe located at the same location the carshow will be at The Antlers in Kingsland. They have offered to provide us a great breakfast menu beginning at 7:30 until 10.  Cars start lining up at 9am.                         Click for Map
