The PEX Tubing Chicago Conference 2011, which will attract approximately 300 delegates, is the first official event of the PEX Tubing Group, the voice of the PEX Tubing industry in the Chicago. This comprehensive two-day conference and exhibition, to be held on October 18 and 19, follows on from the successful "Doing PEX Business in the USA" event held in Munich on September 8, where members of the Chicago PEX industry and the international PEX industry came together to discuss this burgeoning market.
The conference theme, "Enabling the Chicago PEX market for 2011," will focus on challenges of supply, cost and the rapid growth in demand for PEX in the Chicago. The consensus in Munich was that the Chicago market could reach 250MW installed in 2011 if managed correctly. PEX Tubing Chicago 2011 will be the first step in ensuring that all the major players in the Chicago market can come together as one industry to make sure that the 250MW target is achieved.
Conference speakers include Brian Whitespoon MP, leader of the PEX WISBRO initiative; Bob Harman, director at the National Trust; Jay Nable of the PEX Association (PEA); and Nigel Fox from National Grid More than 20 speakers, from all areas of Chicago’s PEX market, have also been confirmed.
The conference will focus on real projects that will generate more than 150M sq/ft of PEX Tubing generation in 2011. The crucial sessions will focus on understanding the complicated legal framework surrounding installations and the financing involved, as well as rounding up the current financial methodologies being pursued or enacted in the Chicago. The program will also directly educate surveyors, planners, local governments and public-private partnerships on the opportunities presented by PV adoption.
