What Does Freedom Mean To You?
On September 24-27, 2014, Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) leaders and activists from across the country will gather in the nation's capital for the National Black Justice Coalition's (NBJC) 5th Annual OUT on the Hill Black LGBT Leadership Summit. Participants will experience an inspiring week of thought leadership, strategy development and organizing in preparation to engage and educate congressional leaders, the White House and federal agencies about Black LGBT public policy concerns.
OUT on the Hill activities will include the opportunity to participate in an Economic Empowerment Braintrust with the U.S. Small Business Administration, a White House Briefing hosted by the Office of National AIDS Policy and sessions held at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference (CBCF-ALC). The NBJC delegation will join thousands of African American policy makers, organizers and concerned citizens at the CBCF-ALC and in the nation’s capital as we advocate for an African American agenda inclusive of Black LGBT people.
Registration is a flat rate of $100 per person for OUT on the Hill. We are offering a 50% registration discount for emerging leaders (18-30) and elders (62 and over). If you would like to attend the CBCF-ALC events, you will be required to pay a separate registration fee of $50 per person for all age groups. HOST HOTEL
Briefings and events will be held at various venues throughout the Washington, DC area to expose our delegation to new experiences in the nation’s capital. If you need a hotel room and cannot locate one on your own, please send a request via our NEED A HOTEL web form, and we will forward options for your consideration.
